The Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, stated in an interview with Digi24 that he would enlist in the volunteer army if his schedule allowed, emphasizing that he supports the new form of military training introduced by the recently enacted law. The program provides for four months of training for young people aged between 18 and 35, and this year the Romanian Army estimates the training of approximately 1,000–3,000 volunteers, with recruitment set to begin in the spring.
