"Starting today, September 29, 2025, the mobile application that reads residence data from the new Electronic Identity Card is available. This is a modern and secure digital tool that allows for the quick reading of data from the Electronic Identity Card (EIC), including the residence address stored in the chip. The application is available for free on Google Play and, soon, on the App Store." is stated in the press release of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
