The searches took place in Bucharest and Râmnicu Vâlcea, based on a request for international judicial assistance. The Romanian Police and DIICOT conducted three searches, discovering data storage devices, cryptocurrencies worth approximately 650,000 dollars, as well as sums of money in lei and euros. Payment for the services offered on the site was made exclusively in cryptocurrencies, to protect the identity of users and to disguise the origin of the funds. Two Romanian citizens were questioned in connection with this case, which includes charges of forming an organized criminal group, incitement to qualified murder, and money laundering. The action was coordinated with the British police and also involved gendarmes from Romania.
