The government approved three memorandums for the filling of 402 vacant positions in Transgaz, Transelectrica, and Hidroelectrica, necessary for the security of the national energy system.

In the meeting on Thursday, the Government discussed three memorandums for the unlocking of 402 positions within state energy companies: Transgaz, Transelectrica, and Hidroelectrica. The measure is justified by the need to ensure the safe functioning of the National Energy System. According to OUG 89/2025, companies could not fill vacant positions without the approval of the Executive.

The total financial impact on salary budgets is estimated at 29.9 million lei for 2026, covered by the companies' own revenues. Transgaz will fill 148 positions, increasing salary expenses by 9.5 million lei, while Transelectrica will unlock 124 positions, with a salary increase of 12.3 million lei. Hidroelectrica will hire 130 people, at a cost of 6 million lei, to comply with staffing norms and prevent excessive overtime.
