Economy Minister, Irineu Darău: "There is only one step left for thousands of people in desperate situations, mainly at Liberty Galaţi and Damen Mangalia, to be able to receive salaries from the Guarantee Fund."

The Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced that the Government has adopted two essential acts that allow the state to pay the salaries of employees in companies facing difficulties, such as Liberty Galați and Damen Mangalia.

These acts include the methodological norms of the Ministry of Labor and a Government Decision that establishes the criteria for granting support. Darău emphasized that this mechanism becomes applicable, and in the first Government meeting, the necessary decisions for the affected companies will be proposed. The state's intervention will allow salary payments for a limited period, thus preventing job losses and maintaining economic activity. The support will focus on employees, not shareholders, and will be granted based on clear criteria, using an already existing fund.
