The First Vice President of PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, denounced the decision of PSD and AUR to submit a motion of no confidence against the Bolojan Government to dismiss it and labeled it as "irresponsible."
"What do you think of the decision of the parliamentary majority PSD and AUR to dismiss the government? They claimed that until this moment, "absolutely nothing" has been discussed about a future government together..." (g4media). To me, it seems the height of irresponsibility. Whoever forms a majority to overthrow a government has the responsibility to form another government in its place," wrote Ciprian Ciucu on Facebook, adding that "PNL will no longer form another coalition with PSD."
Ciucu's reaction comes after Marian Neacșu (PSD) and Petrișor Peiu (AUR) announced that they will jointly submit a motion of no confidence against the Bolojan government, which is set to be discussed in Parliament at the beginning of May.
For the motion to pass, 233 votes are needed, and PSD and AUR have 220, needing the support of other parliamentarians. The political situation has complicated after PSD withdrew support for Prime Minister Bolojan, causing a political crisis.
The Prime Minister announced the breakup of the coalition with PSD, and his ministers submitted their resignations. President Nicușor Dan rejected the idea of a minority government supported by AUR.
