The Environmental Guard has identified an illegal waste dump covering 3,000 square meters in Sector 3, Bucharest.

The Environmental Guard discovered an illegal waste dump covering an area of 3,000 square meters in Sector 3 of the Capital, following a report from citizens.

Aerial monitoring with drones, conducted between July 7-10, revealed the presence of construction waste, used tires, bulky waste, and recyclables stored in a mixed manner. Authorities caught a van unloading waste in an unauthorized manner, and the responsible economic operator was identified. The Guard confiscated the van and imposed a fine of 160,000 lei on the involved company.

Additionally, measures were imposed to prohibit the activity until the necessary permits are obtained, and the operator was required to remove the waste and restore the land to its original state. Representatives of the GNM emphasize the effectiveness of rapid monitoring of areas, which allows for immediate interventions in cases of illegal activities.
