The National Environmental Guard discovered four sites in Cluj County where a company illegally deposited large quantities of excavated material.
After closing the first three locations, the company moved its activity to a fourth site, where 1,882 transports were carried out, totaling over 21,700 cubic meters of materials. Inspectors found that the activity was being conducted without the necessary environmental authorization, also generating significant amounts of dust due to heavy traffic.
The Environmental Guard imposed a fine of 295,000 lei, suspended the illegal activities, and required the company to remove the deposited materials and restore the land to its original state.
Representatives of the Guard emphasize the importance of complying with environmental legislation to protect the health of the population and the surrounding environment.
