The Bucharest Environmental Directorate sent a mobile laboratory to monitor pollution after the fire at a warehouse on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard.

The Bucharest Environmental Directorate mobilized a mobile laboratory on Sunday to measure particle concentrations following the major fire that broke out at a warehouse on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard, Sector 6. Simona Aldea, the director of the Environmental Directorate, mentioned that the data will be processed later, and as of 1:00 PM, no exceedances were recorded at the fixed stations in the area. The fire, which is occurring over an area of approximately 800 square meters, is producing massive smoke emissions and involves the burning of sanitary materials and plastic mass.

Firefighters intervened with 16 fire trucks and other equipment to control the fire, which is located inside the warehouse, but also outside, where combustible materials are stored, increasing the risk of spread. A RO-ALERT message was issued to inform the population about the emergency situation.
