Daniel Popa, 43 years old, the director of the Constanța Power Plant, was found hanged in his home on Thursday, around 3:30 PM. The police were alerted by a call to 112 from his wife, who discovered the lifeless body.

The initial investigations did not indicate visible signs of violence, and the body was transported to the morgue for an autopsy, in order to determine the cause of death. Authorities have opened a criminal case to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Sources mentioned that Daniel Popa was struggling with depression and was undergoing treatment.
