On Wednesday, the Danube recorded a new historic minimum flow of 1,400 cubic meters per second, two days earlier than the hydrologists' estimates, according to statements from the spokesperson of 'Apele Române', Ana Maria Agiu. Navigation has already been affected for more than two weeks, and previous interventions to dislocate the Pârjoaia dam have led to a 2-centimeter increase in water level in the Cernavodă area.

Currently, the level is 217 centimeters lower than normal. Agiu mentioned that the sinking of four barges loaded with stone in Brațul Bala is planned to direct the flow towards the nuclear power plant, but the operation is under analysis due to the strong currents in the area. The safety of the teams involved is a priority, and the success of this intervention could have immediate effects on the water level. This is a complex operation, influenced by many external factors.
