The Corporations Tram, which runs on Line 5 in Bucharest, is currently in the testing phase, but it is not carrying passengers. Although the modernization works were completed in November, the service has not been opened. Recent images from December 22 show the trams testing the new infrastructure, but without stopping for passengers. The first tests took place on November 28, and additional tests were conducted to check the operation of the electrical systems and the track. It seems that more time is needed to ensure the necessary electrical supply for the operation of the trams with passengers. Line 5 has been closed since 2017 for modernization, and the date for resuming service remains unspecified by the authorities.
