The College of Physicians in Romania insists on respecting the working schedule in the healthcare system, considering it essential for its proper functioning.

The representatives of the College of Physicians of Romania (CMR) emphasized, in a Facebook post, the importance of adhering to the work schedule as an essential condition for the proper functioning of the healthcare system. The president of CMR, Prof. Dr. Cătălina Poiană, stated that respecting the schedule is not only a contractual obligation but also a moral duty towards patients and colleagues.

CMR supports both doctors in the public system and those in the private sector, highlighting the need for a clear distinction between the activities carried out in the two sectors. Additionally, CMR will continue to promote professional responsibility and improve working conditions for doctors. In this context, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced a national control to verify compliance with the work schedule by doctors in public hospitals.
