The Bucharest Tribunal decided on Tuesday to reject the request of the Romprest company for the return of the performance guarantee for the year 2025, amounting to 9 million lei, according to the announcement of the Sector 1 City Hall.

The local authority believes that this decision confirms the legality of maintaining the guarantee, which was withheld due to irregularities found in the execution of the contract, including defective snow removal and delays in waste collection. Currently, approximately 15 million lei is in the guarantee account, intended to cover any potential damages. Deputy Mayor Iulian Hatmanu emphasized that the court's decision confirms the legal actions of the city hall in the interest of the citizens.

This is the second victory for the Sector 1 City Hall in the disputes with Romprest, the company having previously had a similar action rejected by the court.

Starting from July 1, the City Hall will implement a new sanitation system, promising better control and improved services for the community.
