The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that the sanitation operators from the sectors reported a higher number of equipment and employees than those actually present on the ground. The Local Police of Bucharest continues the investigations, and if these irregularities are confirmed, the operators will be fined. Ciprian Ciucu emphasized that the Capital City Hall does not have sanitation operators, but only a role of coordination and monitoring, and the responsibility for snow removal lies with the sector mayors.

He also mentioned that the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) faced problems due to the failure to clear the first lane by the sanitation operators, affecting the operation of trolleybuses and trams. The mayor convened a meeting with representatives of the sectors and STB to resolve the arising situations, mentioning that traffic is starting to return to normal.
