The Bucharest City Hall announced that the event 'Open Streets' will not take place this weekend due to two other major events, the Bucharest International Half Marathon and the Bucharest Food Truck Festival.

The Bucharest City Hall has informed that the event 'Open Streets', scheduled for this weekend, has been canceled to avoid chaos in traffic. This decision comes in the context of two major events taking place: the Bucharest International Half Marathon 2026, which will occur on May 9 and 10, and the Bucharest Food Truck Festival, scheduled on Kiseleff Road.

The half marathon will generate traffic restrictions on Unirii Boulevard, Independence Quay, and other important arteries, and access will be restricted on Kiseleff. Despite the cancellation of 'Open Streets', two guided tours will take place, and Calea Victoriei will not be closed. Due to the restrictions, 30 public transport lines will be diverted, and three shuttle lines will be temporarily established to facilitate the transport of passengers.
