On July 15, the Border Police revealed the existence of false accounts on social media, associated with the name "Cristina Anghel", which use specific visual elements of the institution.
The police clarified that these accounts have no official connection with them and that the respective person is not a border police officer. In the context of the proliferation of materials generated by artificial intelligence, the institution emphasized that any statements or content published by these accounts do not reflect the official position of the Border Police.
Representatives of the institution recommended citizens to verify information through official channels and to be cautious in front of materials distributed on social media platforms, which may mislead.
They highlighted the risks associated with AI technologies, which allow the generation of credible but false content.
