Two kittens were rescued by the Bihor firefighters from a dry well 13 meters deep.

The firefighters of Guard 1 Mai from Bihor intervened on Tuesday evening, around 21:25, to save two kittens that had fallen into a dry well approximately 13 meters deep, located in the yard of a household in the commune of Sânmartin.

The owner called the emergency number 112, as he could not retrieve the animals due to the depth of the well. At the scene, the firefighters found that the kittens were in the mud at the bottom of the well. One of the rescuers, equipped with a breathing apparatus and specific equipment, descended into the well using a rope system, being secured by colleagues.

After carefully placing the kittens in a container, they were lifted to the surface and handed over to the owner. ISU Bihor recommends that well owners keep them covered and avoid personal interventions in such situations, seeking specialized help by calling 112.
