The 'Barbu Gănescu' House in Târgu Jiu, where the National Museum 'Constantin Brâncuși' is located, is in an advanced state of degradation and will benefit from a rehabilitation program in 2026.

This initiative coincides with the designation of the year 2026 as 'The Year of Constantin Brâncuși', marking 150 years since the birth of the sculptor. The museum will organize a Triennale of sculpture dedicated to the artist, who lived in this house during the period when he worked on the 'Calea Eroilor' Monumental Ensemble. The building requires restoration and arrangement works, being included in the 'Cultural Foundations' project, financed through a framework loan agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank, implemented by the Ministry of Culture.
