The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announced on Sunday two yellow alerts for intensifications of the wind, storms, and atmospheric instability, valid until Monday morning.
The first alert, active between June 14, 12:00 PM and June 14, 9:00 PM, concerns Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Transylvania, the north-west of Oltenia, and the mountainous area. Meteorologists warn that the wind will reach speeds of 50-80 km/h, with isolated gusts of up to 90 km/h, and storms, showers, and hail will be reported.
The second alert will come into effect after the first expires, between June 14, 9:00 PM and June 15, 3:00 AM, narrowing the affected area but maintaining atmospheric instability in Banat, southern Transylvania, Oltenia, and northern Muntenia.
In Bucharest, the weather will be warm, with temperatures of 30-31 degrees, but instability will appear in the evening, with showers and thunderstorms. ANM emphasizes that the forecast may be updated depending on the evolution of the weather.
