The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announced on Friday new yellow warning alerts for intensifications of the wind, valid from Friday, 10:00 AM, to Saturday, 9:00 PM, in several counties in Moldova, Muntenia, and Dobrogea.
"On Friday (May 22) in the south, east, and center of the country, and on Saturday (May 23) especially in the south of the territory, there will be periods of atmospheric instability manifested by showers, electrical discharges, intensifications of the wind, and isolated hail falls. In short intervals, local water quantities will be 15...25 l/m² and isolated will exceed 40 l/m². The wind will have temporary intensifications in the east and southeast of the country, and on Friday (May 22) locally in the west and center, with generally speeds of 45...55 km/h, while in the high mountain area there will be gusts of 60...90 km/h," shows ANM.
When and where there will be a Yellow Warning
Thus, on Friday (May 22), there will be a yellow warning in Moldova and in the northeast of Muntenia, where there will be wind intensifications with speeds of 50...65 km/h. The counties targeted by the warning are: Bacău, Botoșani, Buzău, Galați, Iași, Neamț, Suceava, Vrancea, and Vaslui.
On Saturday (May 23), there will be wind intensifications in the center and south of Moldova, Dobrogea, as well as in the east and northeast of Muntenia, with speeds of 50...65 km/h. The warning is valid for the counties: Bacău, Brăila, Buzău, Constanța, Galați, Ialomița, Tulcea, Vrancea, and Vaslui.
