The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued extensive heat alerts, including a red code valid between August 4 and 5 for the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, and Timiș, where extreme temperatures of 39-41 degrees are expected.

The thermal discomfort will be heightened, with a temperature-humidity index (THI) exceeding 80 units. Additionally, a second red code will be in effect between August 5 and 6 for the counties of Maramureș, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Bihor, Arad, Timiș, and Caraș-Severin. ANM has also issued orange and yellow warnings for other areas in the country, where temperatures will reach 35-39 degrees.

In Bucharest, the weather will be scorching, with maximum temperatures of 36-38 degrees and tropical nights. Meteorologists recommend caution in the face of extreme heat and thermal discomfort.
