TAROM has announced a competition for the position of general director in Bucharest

TAROM has once again opened the position of general director for competition, after Costin Iordache resigned from the position at the end of 2025. The interim management is provided by Bogdan Costaș, and the company is now starting the procedures to find a stable manager. The requirements for the leadership position are strict: candidates must have a degree in economics, law, or engineering, a total of at least 15 years of experience, and at least 7 years of experience in management positions, including 3 years in positions of administrator or director.

Experience in aviation and management of large companies is an advantage. Additionally, TAROM is looking for a commercial director with a university degree and 10 years of work experience. The deadline for applications is April 24, 2026. The company is facing financial difficulties, recording a loss of 30 million euros in 2024, and is reducing its fleet of aircraft. Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu stated that the government is analyzing the streamlining of TAROM's activities without resorting to privatization.
