Hansen published a study which concluded that some of the phenomena underlying climate change have been underestimated. One of the ambitious scenarios formulated by the IPCC has become 'impossible today' because global energy consumption is 'increasing and will continue to increase', with 'a majority of energy still coming from fossil fuels'.
