On Monday evening, a foreign driver alerted the police in Brezoi, claiming that he was attacked by two hooded individuals in the parking lot of Tuțulești, Vâlcea County, and robbed of 6,580 euros, money belonging to the company he worked for. The man stated that he was injured in the leg, and the assailants fled in a dark-colored car. The police launched a swift operation, sending the attackers' descriptions throughout the county and surrounding areas. At the scene, evidence was found, including a glove, and during a search, the driver was caught hiding the money in his underwear. Later, he admitted that he had fabricated the attack and inflicted the injuries on himself to appear credible. The police continue the investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor, and the case recalls a similar incident in Slovakia, where a Romanian driver staged a robbery.
