The Bucharest Transport Company (STB S.A.) reported a constant decrease in the number of employees, from 10,750 in 2021 to 9,725 in 2025, which represents a contraction of approximately 9.5%. This decrease is particularly concentrated in the operational area, where the number of drivers has dropped from 9,363 to 8,311, that is, by over 1,000 people. Despite this significant reduction in the staff that effectively ensures transport, the company's management has remained unchanged. The latest available data regarding STB personnel stops at the year 2023, and the company has confirmed these trends of reducing the workforce. This situation raises questions about the impact on public transport services in the Capital.
