The STB Administration Council approved a plan of measures for the financial recovery of the public transport company, which involves reducing management functions and temporarily reducing the workweek to four days, while the debt of the Transport Company amounts to 1.6 billion lei.

Other measures aim to stop hiring, reduce overtime, and implement voluntary departure programs. Additionally, routes will be optimized, fares will be updated, and the policy on exemptions will be reanalyzed. The implementation of these measures will be carried out by consulting social partners and respecting the legal framework, aiming to reduce expenses and increase revenues to ensure the financial sustainability of STB.

General Director Andrei Dinculescu-Bighea emphasized the importance of maintaining functional and accessible public transport.
