SRI launches the PREVISIO 2 program for the prevention of youth radicalization in schools and re-education centers, with a total funding of 2.2 million lei

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) has announced the launch of the program 'Preventing Radicalization Among Youth and Vulnerable Environments' - PREVISIO 2, aimed at identifying and managing radicalization and violent extremism among young people, including those in schools and prisons.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the National Administration of Penitentiaries, and the School Safety Directorate of IGPR.

The total value of the project is 2,224,209 lei, of which 2,001,788 lei represents non-reimbursable European funding. The implementation will take place over a period of 18 months, from February 2026 to August 2027.

The goal is to expand previous efforts from the PREVISIO program by increasing awareness and developing skills for teachers and representatives of institutions involved in preventing radicalization.
