Employees of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) organized a spontaneous protest in the institution's hallway, in response to statements made by AEP president, Adrian Zăbăuianu, who claimed that many employees did not obtain their positions through competition and that they do not come to work.
The union leader, Mihăiță Voicu, emphasized that these statements severely affect the institution's image and that officials are prohibited from attacking state institutions. The protesters, who displayed banners with the message 'Respect', declared that they will not yield to pressure. Some employees have filed lawsuits against the AEP, contesting the management's decisions, and some of them have already achieved a few victories in court.
Voicu accused the AEP president of insults and attacks against the staff, even before being officially appointed to the position, considering that such behaviors affect the entire institution.
