Labor Minister Petre-Florin Manole has announced the resumption of the special pension reform, which will include raising the retirement age for magistrates to 65 and reducing the pension replacement rate from 80% to 65% of salary income. The draft, which will be prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, is being finalized and will be submitted to Parliament for approval. Although the details are still being worked out, Manole emphasizes that the reform is necessary and will only take a few weeks.
