Alfred Simonis, the leader of PSD Timiș, stated that Romania needs a stable pro-European government, emphasizing that this cannot be achieved without the involvement of the Social Democratic Party. In a press conference, Simonis mentioned that, despite previous statements, the parties that opposed associating with AUR are now changing their position, which he considers hypocritical.
He emphasized that, at the moment when negotiations are taking place with AUR parliamentarians, negotiations are taking place with AUR itself. Simonis anticipated that, after a period of several weeks, the parties will reconsider collaboration with PSD, citing the need for stability. He also stated that, in the event of a motion of no confidence against the Bolojan Government, it will be adopted. In the context of the resignations of PSD ministers, Simonis highlighted the importance of balance and the general interest, warning against blocking the country for personal interests.
