In 2025, housing in Romania continued to become more expensive, recording an average increase of 14% nationwide. Craiova led the ranking of increases with a rise of 21%, reaching an average price of 2,095 euros per usable square meter, placing it fourth in the ranking of the most expensive cities. Bucharest had a growth of 17%, with an average price of 2,180 euros/sqm, but the price differences between neighborhoods are significant, with Ferentari having the most affordable housing under 1,100 euros/sqm and the Aviatorilor area close to 5,000 euros/sqm. Ploiești recorded a 14% increase, reaching 1,333 euros/sqm, being the cheapest city, while Sibiu had an 11% increase, with an average price of 1,927 euros/sqm. Cluj-Napoca remains the most expensive city, with prices of 3,207 euros/sqm.
