STS reported over 2,500 calls to 112 during the red code of torrential rains, with intensified activity in Bucharest and the surrounding counties.

During the red code period, which concerns torrential rains, STS received 2,256 calls to 112, mostly from Bucharest-Ilfov and the counties of Călărași, Constanța, and Ialomița. At one point, Bucharest recorded 200 calls, most reporting floods and fallen trees. STS is adapting technical measures to ensure a rapid response, and the red warning is in effect until 3:00 PM.
