Spouses Carmen and Klaus Iohannis have paid the debts for which the Sibiu City Hall had issued two payment notices, one in the name of Carmen Iohannis and another in the name of both. The notices were registered on October 8, 2025, as a result of arrears in local taxes and fees.

The details regarding the amounts and types of debts cannot be made public for tax secrecy reasons. The Sibiu City Hall has confirmed that, at present, the Iohannis spouses have no debts to the local budget, the debts being older and the reason for the issuance of the notices. Additionally, Klaus and Carmen Iohannis jointly own six properties in Sibiu.
