The Spanish National Court has decided to acquit Colombian singer Shakira of tax fraud charges, ordering the Spanish Tax Agency to refund her over 60 million euros, previously paid as fines, plus interest.

This decision marks the end of the tax dispute in which the artist was involved. The court established that the tax authorities failed to prove that Shakira lived in Spain for more than 183 days in 2011, according to tax law. Following this ruling, the previously imposed tax adjustments and fines were annulled, and the artist's appeal was accepted. This legal victory highlights the complexity of tax cases and the importance of evidence in such disputes.
