A railway accident occurred in the Halta Nord area of Râmnicu Vâlcea, where a man was hit by a Săgeata Albastră train traveling on the Craiova-Sibiu route. The victim was found in a semi-conscious state, having suffered a hemorrhagic cranio-cerebral trauma and an amputation of the right leg.
At the scene, ISU Vâlcea crews quickly intervened with a rescue vehicle, a fire truck equipped with a rescue module, and a mobile intensive care ambulance. After the man's partial stabilization, he was transported to the Vâlcea Emergency Reception Unit for further medical care. Representatives of the intervention services mentioned that there were approximately 80 passengers on the train, who did not require medical assistance.
