The railway traffic at the CF Năvodari station was put in danger on Wednesday evening, after two unknown individuals cut the power cables of the switch installations.

The incident occurred around 8:00 PM, when the station master was alerted by a disturbance. Upon exiting the building, he noticed the two individuals attempting to steal the cables, but they fled at the sight of the employee. Subsequent checks confirmed the cutting of the cables, essential for the safety of railway traffic. The National Railway Company "CFR" SA intervened quickly to maintain train traffic in safe conditions and informed the police, who are investigating the case.

Authorities emphasize that unauthorized interventions on railway installations can cause serious disruptions and electrocution risks, considering that these cables operate at a voltage of 380 V.
