On Christmas Day, a serious accident occurred on a slope in the Predeal resort, where a woman sledding was hit from behind by another sled. The impact led to a temporary loss of consciousness, and rescue teams intervened quickly.
The victim was stabilized by the rescuers from the Predeal Mountain Rescue Team and later handed over to a SMURD crew, being conscious at the time of transport to the hospital. Brașov Mountain Rescue emphasized the risks associated with inappropriate speed and crowding on the slopes, recommending the use of designated areas, maintaining distance, and supervising children. The director of Brașov Mountain Rescue, Sebastian Marinescu, stressed the importance of responsibility and caution to prevent accidents on the slopes.
