Serious accident on DJ 141, at the exit from Mediaș towards Moșna. The Red Intervention Plan has been activated, seven people have been injured.

A serious road accident occurred on Friday afternoon on county road DJ 141, at the exit from the municipality of Mediaș towards the locality of Moșna, resulting in seven victims. The impact was so strong that one of the cars ended up in a ditch, which prompted the activation of the red intervention plan and the request for a SMURD helicopter.

According to the Sibiu Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU), traffic is completely blocked in the area, and two cars were involved in the accident. At the scene, the intervention teams mobilized a SMURD crew, a fire truck, a rescue vehicle, a personnel and multiple victims transport vehicle, as well as three ambulances from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ).

Three of the victims were trapped but were safely extracted and handed over to the medical teams. The intervention mission is still active, with teams working to provide the necessary medical assistance and manage the operational situation.
