The extension of Tudor Arghezi Park receives the name "Donald Trump Romanian-American Friendship Park"

The Local Council of Sector 4 approved, on Tuesday, the names for two investment objectives: the expansion of Tudor Arghezi Park and the ice rink in the sector. The park will be named 'Romanian-American Friendship Park Donald Trump', with an area of 4 hectares, while the ice rink will bear the name of Doru Tureanu, a renowned Romanian hockey player.

The names were established through an online vote,<\/a> in which over 116,000 people participated, on the platform romaniavoteaza.live. The municipality emphasized that the name of the park reflects the community's openness to international cooperation, in the context of the 250th anniversary of the declaration of US Independence.

Doru Tureanu, considered the greatest Romanian hockey player, had an exceptional career, being included in the Hall of Fame of world hockey. The ice rink, inaugurated in 2024, has hosted national and international hockey and figure skating competitions.
