Police officers and DNA prosecutors conducted searches at the Sector 3 City Hall and at the office of Mayor Sorin Robert Negoiță, as part of an abuse of office case.
These actions were initiated in connection with the construction of a public road of approximately one kilometer, which was allegedly built with public funds on land owned by the mayor's brother, Ionuț Negoiță. It is suspected that this project was carried out in the personal interest of the mayor's family, aiming to support a real estate project.
Sorin Robert Negoiță, mayor of Sector 3, has had an active political career in PSD. Over the years, he has been involved in successful businesses and has received various awards for his achievements in entrepreneurship.
