Sebastian Popescu was taken to court after being accused of approaching a minor on social media for sex.

Former Romanian presidential candidate Sebastian Popescu was heard by the police following a complaint made by the 'Justițiarul de Berceni', who reported that Popescu had contacted a 15-year-old minor on social media with the intention of inducing him to have sexual relations. Police officers from Sector 3 intervened and spoke with the two parties, and Popescu was subsequently taken to the police station for further checks. A video of the incident was posted on TikTok.
