Salvamont Romania calls for the release of 300 mountain rescuers to ensure effective intervention in mountain rescue cases.

Salvamont Romania warns that without the 300 additional rescuers, the coverage of the real needs for interventions will be only 50% in the first year. Salvamont structures are facing an operational capacity of only 17.85% and financial support from local authorities has not been linked to an adequate government framework. Without urgent action, the effectiveness of interventions will decrease, increasing the risk of tragedies, and the responsibility will fall on decision-makers who ignore warnings.
