The Romanian Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, stated that although 21 drones were detected heading towards Romania, none entered the national airspace. This is in the context of the fact that last night Russia carried out a massive drone attack on the Odesa region, causing significant damage to industrial, port, and energy infrastructure.

Miruță emphasized the difficulties in intercepting drones due to the terrain and the risks associated with shooting them down over populated areas.

In total, Ukrainian air forces reported 178 launched drones, of which 154 were neutralized, but 22 caused damage in 12 locations. In the Zaporizhzhia region, one attack resulted in eight injuries and damage to a logistics terminal. This escalation of Russian drone attacks underscores the ongoing tensions in the Ukrainian conflict.
