The Executive Vice President for social rights and competencies, quality jobs and training, Roxana Mănzatu, visited the parking areas in Belgium to assess the working conditions of truck drivers and the infrastructure deficit.

The visit highlighted the significant differences between high-quality parking facilities and those lacking basic services, underscoring the European parking infrastructure crisis. Menzatu emphasized the importance of investing in safe parking to improve the working conditions of drivers and address the labor shortage. Studies show that only a small portion of truck parking spaces in the EU are certified as safe, and the deficit will increase significantly in the coming years.
