President Klaus Iohannis has announced that EU ambassadors have agreed on Romania's full accession to Schengen, including land borders, from January 1, 2025. The formal decision is to be taken at the JHA Council in December. This agreement is an important step for Romania, which has fulfilled the conditions for Visa Waiver.
