The Ministry of Education announced on Sunday the achievement of one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad held in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Romanian students who excelled in the competition are Ursachescu Matei Gabriel from the National College "B.P. Hașdeu" in Buzău, who won the gold medal, Alexe Mihnea Gabriel from the National College of Informatics "Tudor Vianu" in Bucharest and Stanciu Mihai from the National College "Moise Nicoară" in Arad, both with silver medals, and Anghel Tudor Ștefan, also from the National College "B.P. Hașdeu", with a bronze medal.

The Ministry emphasized that the students benefited from rigorous training, both theoretical and practical, supported by the teaching staff from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Bucharest.
