A Romanian citizen accused of espionage has been arrested in Germany, based on a warrant issued by the Federal Court of Justice in Rheine, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The Ministry specifies that, until now, no requests for consular assistance have been registered from the citizen or his family.

"The German authorities executed an arrest warrant issued by the Federal Court of Justice in Rheine (North Rhine-Westphalia) under which a Romanian citizen was arrested. We mention that, up to this moment, at the level of the Romanian Consulate General in Bonn, no requests for consular assistance have been registered from the Romanian citizen in question or his family" – states the MFA information.
