A 46-year-old Romanian on day leave tried to rob a pharmacy in Belluno and was arrested after taking two customers hostage

The incident happened at the weekend when the man, armed with a knife, entered a pharmacy and threatened the pharmacist and a customer, demanding painkillers. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention, the pharmacist managed to call 112. When the carabinieri arrived, the attacker tried to disguise himself as an employee but was recognized and arrested. He was taken back to prison on charges of aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
