Although Romania has the richest mineral water resources in the world, many springs remain unexploited due to bureaucratic procedures and lack of information. In areas such as Covasna and Harghita, springs with therapeutic properties are ignored and spa centers are closed for lack of funds. Education and proper promotion of these resources are essential for their exploitation.
